The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive!
At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving.
This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without care.
With its Mahogany "long-body" design and comfortable Soft V shaped neck, this faithful reissue of the 1930s classic sounds and plays like a million bucks.
The vital feature of this
G9200
Boxcar
Round Neck Resonator
guitar is the Gretsch Ampil-Sonic diaphragm (resontator cone), which is hand-spun in Eastern Europe from nearly 99 percent pure aluminum, yielding an impressive quality and volume of tone.
The round Mahogany neck - which is preferable for blues-based music such as Mississippi Delta blues, country blues or even ragtime blues - is paired with a
smooth-fretting Padauk fretboard that makes the G9200 as easy to play as a standard acoustic guitar.
Additional appointments include Gretsch's Ampli-Sonic hand-spun spider r
esonator cone and bridge, nickel-plated poinsettia design cover-plate, 1930s Gretsch headstock with aged pearloid face
, and a natural semi-gloss finish.
This Gretsch G9200
Boxcar
Round Neck Resonator guitar transports you back to Gretsch's roots in American music. Everyone knows Gretsch electric guitars and drums, but did you know that got their start in 1883 as a banjo company? It wasn't long before Gretsch was making mandolins, ukuleles, and eventually flat-top guitars, contributing to the very roots of American music. So when you pick up your Gretsch resonator, you're holding more than a great resonator, you're holding a piece of American music history.
This is an open box demo model. We have inspected and tested this guitar and although we did not find any major flaws, we have taken detailed photos, please take a moment to look through them before purchasing.
