Here is a rare set of Lionel Standard Gauge Trains cataloged in 1929 only. This is set No. 340E the "Coal Train". This set features a restored Black Lionel 318 Electric Locomotive with brass trim
and
red lettered brass plates pulling three original No. 516 red operating Coal Hoppers with
black lettered brass plates, brass ladders and break wheels, brass rubber stamped
coal loads and lines of data, and the hard to find No. 517 Caboose with red body and black roof and a red cupola roof with black cupola ends and orange windows. This is a great looking set that would be sure to be the focal point of many collections
.
This set
was carefully maintained as a part of my father's private collection for over 40 years.
